Cross Efficiency of Decision Making Units with the Negative Data in Data Envelopment Analysis

چکیده
The cross-efficiency evaluation is an effective method to evaluate the decision making units (DMUs) with the nonnegative inputs and outputs in data envelopment analysis (DEA) and can be performed with the different formulations. But, in some situations the DMUs encounter with the negative inputs and outputs. This paper generalizes the cross efficiency evaluation for the DMUs with the negative inputs and outputs in DEA environment. To this end, first it defines the cross efficiency for the DMUs with the negative data and then proposes a model using ideal points and range directional model (RDM). Finally, the proposed model is modified to reduce the nonzero weights. To illustrate the proposed models a numerical example is given.

The Efficiency of MSBM Model with Imprecise Data (Interval)
Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a mathematical programming-based approach for evaluates the relative efficiency of a set of DMUs (Decision Making Units). The relative efficiency of a DMU is the result of comparing the inputs and outputs of the DMU and those of other DMUs in the PPS (Production Possibility Set). Also, in Data Envelopment Analysis various models have been developed in order to...
متن کاملComputing the efficiency interval of decision making units (DMUs) having interval inputs and outputs with the presence of negative data
The basic assumption in data envelopment analysis patterns (DEA) (such as the CCR andBCC models) is that the value of data related to the inputs and outputs is a precise andpositive number, but most of the time in real conditions of business, determining precisenumerical value is not possible in for some inputs or outputs. For this purpose, differentmodels have been proposed in DEA for imprecis...
متن کاملRanking of decision making units based on cross efficiency by undesirable outputs and uncertainity
Cross efficiency is one of the useful methods for ranking of decision making units (DMUs) in data envelopment analysis (DEA). Since the optimal solutions of inputs and outputs weights are not unique so the selection of them are not simple and the ranks of DMUs can be changed by the difference weights. Thus, in this paper, we introduce a method for ranking of DMUs which does not have a unique pr...

In this paper, it is assumed that the “Decision Making Units“( ) are consist of positive and negative input and output. Firstly, the optimistic and pessimistic models have been suggested by using negative data and then units with most productive scale size are measured in optimistic and pessimistic models. These productive values are compared with double frontiers and Hurwicz’s Criterion to obt...

The cross efficiency evaluation is used to performance measurement of decision making units in data envelopment analysis concept. One of the most important shortcoming of this method is existing alternative optimal solution and therefore, the efficiency scores are not unique. We are going to summarize the pervious models proposed by researchers and suggest an alternative secondary goal approach...
متن کاملIncreasing the discrimination power the decision making units based on reducing dispersion of weights in the data envelopment analysis
Data envelopment analysis which is a nonparametric technique for evaluating relative efficiency of the decision making units with multiple inputs and outputs, has been a very popular method among researchers. While this nonparametric technique is popular, it has some drawbacks such as lack of discrimination in efficient units and weights dispersion .The present study, which is a model based on ...
